DODGY CHARACTERS.  Never arrange to meet anyone alone and away from other people! Steer clear of any ‘natural cover’ that you could be pulled into.

CAR BACK-SEATS  Does your new friend have a car? Decline the invitation for a back-seat kiss and cuddle!  It could quickly lead to something more!

CHAT ROOMS Always ask an adult to check out any chat-room or blog that mates suggest you visit. Avoid  sites that encourage violence or political activity.

WHO YOU ARE!  On the ‘net never tell lies about yourself, your age, school or experience. Never make out that you are older than you are.

NETWORK SPIES Deletion on a PC only removes its ‘header’. It may still be recoverable by an expert hacker. Be careful what you record & how delete.

BEWARE WI FI  Beware of using an ‘open’ connection, your identity, your PC or lap-top can be taken over by someone else and private information ‘harvested’.

THE NEW CIRCUIT   The Methodist Connexion is organised into various ‘Circuits’ each comprising groups of individual Churches. These have to be re-arranged occasionally. Ampthill Methodist Church  once stood independently within these structures but post-war changes saw it become the ‘Circuit Church’ for Ampthill and Bedford South.   It held this position for many years until a thriving Kempston East Methodist church took its place, the Super-intendency relocating.

Now a more drastic regrouping has been implemented linking three adjoining circuits.     The new Superintendent is based at Biggle-swade.  Ampthill has been grouped with Cranfield, a decision based on numbers rather than geography.

A warm welcome still awaits old friends at AMPTHILL METHODIST CHURCH every Sunday at 10.30 am and at 3pm on the 1st Sunday of the month. Links will still continue with neighbouring Methodist Churches.
