NOTICE BOARD

Inside the Church, at the rear, you will find a display of events in this church and the Circuit, imminent local events sponsored by Ampthill ‘Churches Together’; promotional material for local and national charities including Methodism’s own charities such as Action for Children (NCH) & MHA.

Also displayed is ‘open’ correspond-ence such as thankyou letters for charity donations.  Church announcements and duty rota are displayed and you may sign up on the board to donate flowers to celebrate your wedding anniversary or a birthday.

CHURCH LIBRARY AND BOOKSTALL

The Church has a book corner of useful volumes for study, video and audio tapes.  These are on free loan.

The purchase of  new books on commission from Wesley Owen through our bookstall has sadly ended and the Bedford shop closed.  Fortunately a similar deal with the new proprietors is being negotiated.

We are a relatively small congregation and membership compared with our Baptist neighbours, nevertheless we have confidently committed to investment in improvements for the elderly & disabled.

These changes will open up easier access from Chandos Rd., provide a wheel-chair lift to the upstairs Hall. A toilet and further improved kitchen will now be found at that level. Both the work and fund raising proceeds apace!

GROWTH

Methodist Churches receive regular postings from Head Office on subjects encouraging the building of a living church. Unfortunately Ampthill numbers are currently too small in particular age groups to make real use of all the ideas and projects floated.
