DODGY CHARACTERS.  Never arrange to meet anyone ALONE!  Even if you believe you are meeting a group  insist that a parent or someone you know well comes with you.

Even so meet where there are other people, stay close to your companion and stay well away from any vehicle, shelter or ‘natural cover’ that you could be tricked into.

CHAT ROOMS Always ask a responsible adult to vet any chat-room or blog that mates suggest you visit. Avoid  sites that encourage violence or extreme political activity.

WHO YOU ARE!  Never tell lies about yourself, your age, back-ground, schooling, achievements or experiences.  Never try to make out that you are older than you are.

NETWORK SPIES Beware of leaving misleading private or personal material on your computer. Even if deleted, recovery is relatively easy for the experts.

BEWARE WI FI  Beware of using an ‘open’ connection, your identity, even your PC or lap-top can be  secretly used by someone else and private information ‘harvested’.

AN ‘OPEN’ SECRET.   The Methodist Church Connexion is organised into various ‘Circuits’.  It is no secret that these Circuits (groups of Churches) have to be re-grouped as circumstances demand. A generation or two ago, with a fulsome, active membership Ampthill Methodist Church stood, in its own strength, outside the local structures. However, post-war changes saw it become the ‘Circuit Church’ for Ampthill and Bedford South  This position it held for many years until a thriving Kempston East Methodist church ultimately took its place, the Superintendency moving there.

Now a more drastic regrouping is being implemented linking three

adjoining circuits.  This will even up current resources and widen the scope for interactivity.   A new Superintendent has been nominated. He will be based at Biggleswade.

A warm welcome will still await you (with improved facilities) at

AMPTHILL METHODIST CHURCH

every Sunday at 10.30 am

and at neighbouring Methodist Churches:

FLITWICK 10.30 am & 6 pm

and CLOPHILL 11.00 am
