NOTICE BOARD

At the rear of the Church you will find a display of events in our own church and circuit, Churches Together and announcements of imminent local  events seeking our support.  We also display  , publicity for local and national charities and Methodist charities such as NCH & MHA together with letters of thanks for donations.  Look and find more information. Sign up to donate flowers to celebrate your wedding anniversary or a birthday.

CHURCH LIBRARYAND BOOKSTALL

The Church has a book corner of useful volumes for study, video and audio tapes.  These are on free loan.  Available for purchase are a selected range of new books.  Any books available from Christian booksellers or Christian books at large can usually be obtained at reasonable notice. The Church receives a small commission on such purchases which  is donated to named charities as it accumulates.

CONNEXIONAL LINK - WHAT IS IT?

Methodist Churches receive regular postings from Head Office on many subjects mainly developmental in character.  These encourage the building of a living church. Unfortunately Ampthill numbers are currently too small in particular age groups to make use of all the ideas and projects floated.

Respecting the faith and convictions of other people.

If our faith is strong it is our duty to accept the scruples of those whose faith may not be as strong or the same as ours.  It is part of the burden we must carry.  

It is our duty to consider not only ourselves.  It is our neighbour that each of us must consider and our aim must be his or her good and the building up of his or her faith (not to question or attempt to destroy it?).  For Christ did not consider only himself.  Far from it!  Scripture says:  The reproaches of those who reproached you, fell on me’!

GROWTH Not to be discouraged, Ampthill Methodist is nevertheless progressing with improvements by the introduction of facilities for the disabled and the popular provision in the church of a projection screen as a visual aid - enhancing worship exponentially.
